Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting Adventure

Get ready for one of those adventures you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life. We’re heading deep into the Grand Canyon for an unforgettable journey down the Colorado River. For five days, we’ll trade cell phones, schedules, and everyday routines for legendary whitewater, towering canyon walls, hidden waterfalls, side hikes, swimming holes, campfires, and nights sleeping beneath an incredible desert sky.

This is much more than a rafting trip. It’s a chance to completely unplug, experience the Grand Canyon from a perspective very few people ever get to see, and share an incredible adventure with a group of fellow MORE Adventurers.

How the Adventure Begins

Our adventure begins in Page, Arizona, where your first night of lodging is included. That evening, we’ll gather for our trip orientation, meet the river team, go over what to expect, and get ready for the journey ahead.

The following morning, we’ll shuttle to Lee’s Ferry, meet our crew, load the rafts, and officially begin our journey into the Grand Canyon.

Five Days on the Colorado River

Once we're on the river, life gets wonderfully simple. Our days will be filled with a combination of rafting, whitewater, side hikes, canyon exploration, swimming, great food, and plenty of time to take in where we are. Along the way, we may experience legendary rapids including Hance, Granite, Hermit, Crystal, and Lava Falls, while exploring incredible places such as Elves Chasm, Deer Creek, and Redwall Cavern.

Our experienced river guides take care of the meals and lead us through the canyon while sharing its history, geology, stories, and hidden places. Each evening, we’ll pull into a riverside camp, unload our gear, set up our cots and tents, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and settle in for a night beneath the stars. Cots and tents are provided.

What a Typical River Day Looks Like

There really isn't a "normal" day in the Grand Canyon, and that's part of the fun. You'll wake to the morning coffee call, enjoy breakfast, break down camp, and load the boats. Then we're back on the Colorado.

Throughout the day, we'll alternate between rafting and exploring. There may be side hikes, waterfalls, swimming spots, canyon walks, lunch along the river, calm stretches where you can simply take everything in, and, of course, some big whitewater.

We typically reach camp around 4:00–5:00 PM. Everyone who is physically able can help with the optional "fire line" to unload gear before setting up camp and relaxing for the evening.

On the first night, the guides will show us how to set up the provided cots and tents and explain the river camping and bathroom systems.

Then comes one of our favorite parts: dinner together beneath the canyon sky.

The Grand Finale

On Day 7, we'll experience one last unforgettable view of the Grand Canyon, this time from above.

A short helicopter flight takes us from the canyon to Bar 10 Ranch, where we'll have an opportunity for a quick shower before boarding a charter flight back to Las Vegas or Page.

We expect to arrive around 1:00–2:00 PM. If you're flying home from Las Vegas that day, we recommend booking your departing flight for after 4:00 PM.

Getting to Page

You have several options for beginning your adventure:

Drive: Drive to Page and park at the Days Inn. You'll be returned to your vehicle at the end of the adventure.

Shuttle from Las Vegas: Approximately five hours, departing around 11:30 AM from Harry Reid International Airport. This is an additional cost and requires a minimum number of passengers.

Charter Flight from Las Vegas: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, departing around 1:30 PM from Harry Reid International Airport. This is also an additional cost and requires a minimum number of passengers.

We'll provide additional transportation and booking details as we get closer to the adventure.

Your First Night

Your first night's lodging at the Days Inn in Page is included based on double occupancy.

Single rooms may be available for an additional fee.

We'll gather for our group orientation at approximately 8:00 PM. Welcome Dinner that evening is covered (location TBD). A light continental breakfast is available the following morning.

As a result, some details may change as plans are confirmed, including pricing, itinerary flow, lodging, or inclusions. This is normal for long-range planning, and we’ll continue to refine each adventure while keeping you informed along the way. Any meaningful updates will always be communicated clearly and well in advance. Think of this as an early preview and opportunity to reserve a spot, with final details locked in closer to departure.

Days 2 - 6 : On the River

Our Grand Canyon river adventure begins in the morning with a shuttle to Lee’s Ferry (8:15am), where we’ll meet our professional river guides, load up, and prepare to launch onto the Colorado River.

Before pushing off, our guides will provide a complete boat and safety orientation, including where and how to sit on the rafts, how to hold on through the rapids, and important safety information for both the river and our campsites.

Then the real adventure begins.

Over the next several days, we’ll settle into the rhythm of life on the Colorado River as we travel deeper into the Grand Canyon. Depending on river conditions and our guides’ recommendations, we’ll tackle legendary rapids such as Hance, Granite, Hermit, Crystal, and Lava Falls, while stopping along the way to explore incredible side canyons, waterfalls, swimming holes, and hidden places such as Elves Chasm and Deer Creek.

Throughout the journey, our guides will prepare fresh meals and share stories about the history, geology, wildlife, and unique landscape of the Grand Canyon. There will be plenty of time to explore, laugh, get wet, relax, and simply take in the incredible scale of where we are.

Each afternoon, we’ll pull into a riverside camp, unload our gear, and settle in for the evening. Cots and tents are provided, but when conditions allow, you may choose to sleep directly beneath the stars on one of the canyon’s river beaches.

Wake up the next morning, grab some coffee, pack up camp, and do it all over again.

No two days on the river are exactly the same, and that’s part of what makes this adventure so special.

River Journey at a Glance

This 6-day motorized rafting expedition travels approximately 188 miles through the Grand Canyon, beginning at Lees Ferry and ending at Whitmore Wash. Along the way, we'll experience more than 60 rapids, explore hidden side canyons and waterfalls, and camp each night on wilderness beaches along the Colorado River.

The journey generally progresses like this:

• Day 1: Launch from Lees Ferry and enter Marble Canyon, experiencing our first rapids before setting up our first riverside camp.

• Day 2: Explore highlights such as Redwall Cavern and Nankoweap, and pass the beautiful Little Colorado River confluence.

• Day 3: Enter the dramatic Inner Gorge and experience some of the canyon's legendary whitewater, including Granite, Hermit, and Crystal Rapids.

• Day 4: Explore hidden canyon treasures such as Elves Chasm and Deer Creek Falls, mixed with another full day of rafting and whitewater.

• Day 5: Continue deeper into the canyon with opportunities to explore areas such as Havasu Canyon, before taking on the famous Lava Falls.

• Day 6: Enjoy a final morning on the Colorado before reaching Whitmore Wash, where we'll leave the canyon by helicopter and fly to Bar 10 Ranch.

There is no set campsite schedule. Each afternoon, the guides choose the best available wilderness beach based on river conditions, water levels, timing, and availability. That's part of the experience: every day unfolds a little differently.

The big picture: 188 river miles, 60+ rapids, incredible side hikes, waterfalls and swimming holes, five nights camping beneath the stars, and one unforgettable helicopter ride out of the Grand Canyon.

After one final morning in the Grand Canyon, we’ll say goodbye to river life in unforgettable fashion. A short 10-minute helicopter flight will lift us out of the canyon and take us to Bar 10 Ranch, giving us one last incredible perspective of the landscape we’ve spent the past several days exploring.

Once at the ranch, we’ll have time for a quick shower and freshen up before boarding our charter flight back to Las Vegas or Page.

We expect to arrive around 1:00–2:00 PM. If you’re flying home from Las Vegas that same day, please schedule your departing flight for after 4:00 PM to allow plenty of time for the return journey.

It’s an incredible way to finish an adventure that takes you from the bottom of the Grand Canyon back to civilization in just a few hours.
